Solidarity Talkathon – Wornham School & myplace®

Both Wornham School & myplace® are committed to our community, and we wish to give back what so many people have given us.

On May 15 at 8pm. we’ll be holding another Talkathon, but this time we ask all students, those who participate as well as those who don’t to take part.

This time round rather than giving a Euro so that the winner takes home all the earnings, what we want is for everybody to bring in nonperishable food to give to the FOOD BANK.

With this event we wish to help out those, who at the moment are having difficulties getting by and need the help from those of us who are fortunate at this time.

Run Against Cancer – Wornham School & myplace®

This event will be free in its format, the students are the ones who set the topics to chat about. Be it sports, family, politics…what ever you wish to speak about at that moment.

St. George’s Day Event – Wornham School & myplace®

Come and join us for this Special Event on St. George’s Day. During this event you’ll learn a bit about the history of England, its culture and its people.

Then after this brief introduction we’ll get into the best part of the event which is an English Beer Tasting.

Please register at reception to book your seat, at this time a 2€ fee will be collected to cover the cost of alcohol.

Workplace English – Wornham School & myplace®

Do you need a little extra help with technical English in the Workplace? Well this is the event for you. This event is geared towards getting you used to the every day language used in an office environment.

This event is not specific to any particular kind of job, but to the language used most commonly among all fields of work.

PUBLIC SPEAKING – Wornham School & myplace®

In this Weekly Course we will tackle the fear of speaking in public. The main purpose of this event is to try to help the student gain fluency, speed and organize their speech. We will try to achieve this through timed games where the student has to give as much information about a given topic during 59 seconds. Speeches will be recorded so that each student can see their weaknesses and strengths. As always, under the attentive watch of our staff to guide them through this event.

Please register in reception as there will be a minimum of 4 people to a max of 10 for the event to take place.
